Weekly Round-Up

This week we have been busy working on comparing and ordering fractions in maths. We have been continuing to work on improving our writing and completing reading assessments in literacy.

It was a lovely sunny day on Monday and we went for a lovely walk to the monument.

In P.E. this week we have been practising different types of jumps in gymnastics.

In Science we have been learning about what we use water for and ways of saving water. We made some posters to encourage people to save water.

We have also been talking about bullying and the lasting effects that it can have on people.

Weekly Round-Up

This week in P4 we have been learning to count fractions on a number line in maths. In literacy we have been working on our spelling and continuing to  work on improving our punctuation in our written work. We have also been learning to write about ourselves in French.

We went for a lovely walk to the river on Monday and had lots of fun exploring the area.

We have been learning about the organs of the human body and their functions in Science.

Some of us have been making slime with the P7 Goo-Bros.

We have been building 3D Scottish castle models in art.

Rhys was the winner of a Ruby Reward ticket today and chose Logan B. to sit with him at the Ruby Rewad table. Well done Rhys!

This Week in P4

It has been a short but busy week in Primary 4.

This week we have been continuing to work on improving the punctuation in our written work. We are making good progress with our targets so far! In maths we have been learning to identify fractions. We have been developing our understanding of numerators, denominators and equivalent fractions.

We have started to learn about the organs in the human body and had fun playing games in P.E. We also had Discovery Dens on Wednesday afternoon where we got to take part in lots of different activities. Mrs McKenna’s group were learning to draw Valentine’s cupcakes.

Calli was the winner of a Ruby Reward ticket today and chose Miley to sit with her at the Ruby Reward table. Well done Calli!

Weekly Round-Up

This week in Primary 4 we have been working really hard on our writing. We are going to be writing every day and we have been working on improving our punctuation in our written work. We have also started to learn about fractions in maths.

We went for a lovely walk to the park on Monday afternoon.

We have started our gymnastics block in P.E. and we were learning to perform different types of jumps this week.

We have been learning all about the bones in the human skeleton in Science.

On Thursday we had two student teachers in our class, Miss Kerr and Miss Black, who will be on placement in our class until the end of March. We are looking forward to working with them both.

Allan was the winner of a Ruby Reward ticket today and chose Braxton to sit with him at the Ruby Reward table. Well done Allan!

       

Just a wee reminder that library books are due to be returned on Wednesday.
