P5 – Division using numicon
P5 are busy using Numicon to support their understanding of division by a single digit.
P5 – Beat your Neighbour
P5 have been working on increasing their speed and accuracy with their 6 times tables. They were very competitive and some managed to reduce their time to answering questions within 3 seconds!!
P5 – up-levelling vocabulary
P5 have been working on sentence up-levelling skills which includes using a thesaurus to help us use more powerful vocabulary.
P5 – Coding a Viking Raid
P5 were learning to code an animation of a Viking raid in Scratch. They worked extremely well as a team, managing to problem solve when their algorithm didn’t match what they wanted their sprite to say or do. Well done P5!
P5 – Numeracy Outdoors
Learning Outdoors Support Team (LOST) visited Dunlop to involve children in a range of numeracy based outdoor learning activities.
