We have begun to learn about measurements.
First we compared who was the smallest to the tallest in our class.

Then we used metre sticks to see which items were tall and smaller. We found out there are 100 cms in a metre.

We have been investigating how sound is made. We discovered objects have to vibrate to make a sound.
Through our experiments we discovered fast vibrations makeĀ high pitched noises and slow vibrations make low pitched noises.

P3 were recalling all the sounds they have learned by going on a class word hunt. They used the words to make sound poster to share with the rest of the class.

This term P3 will be learning lots of new skills to play badminton.
They are off to a great start by practicing the skills they need to make a good serve.

P3 have started practicing their Scots poem in class, here is a copy so that you can practice at home too.
We were in full party mode this week, all the pupils and staff had fun dancing, playing games and enjoyed a few Christmas treats.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all!

P3 had a great time at the Panto this week, we were all very proud of our 2 superstars who performed on stage. Well done!

Thanks to our lovely kitchen staff we all got to enjoy a delicious Christmas lunch together.

Primary 3 used finger torches to hunt out magic e words.

As part of our Farm to Fork topic, we learned about growing food. We discovered plants and trees are very important for our environment so we decided to help our planet by making our own compost. We layered recycled paper, leaves and fruit peeling in a plastic bottle, sprayed it with water and placed it in our warm cupboard. It will take a long time but we are hoping we can use it to plant some seeds in the Spring.
