P3 made a thank you card for Ashlea at Mossgiel Farm for visiting us last week. They enjoyed showing Mrs Withers around their lovely village when we went a walk to the Post Office to post the card.

We have been practicing our reading comprehension strategies in P3.
Today we showed great progress in finding the main points of what we are reading.
This week we are challenging you with a reading task. All P3s will be given a Read, Write, Count bag with books and activities for you to do with your child at home. Everything in the bag in for you to keep.
The challenge is to read Martha Maps it Out and choose an activity from the booklet to complete together. Good luck and enjoy the story!
Ashlea from Mossgiel Farm came along to help us understand the journey of their milk. She spoke about all the things that have to happen to get milk into our glasses. We were delighted to hear we drink Mossgiel milk in our dinner hall, it is delicious!
P3 have been busy this weeks trying to make their own compost. Ask me at home how we made it, here are some clues…
P3 Class Talk Homework Project
Title: My Favourite Animal
Primary 3s have been given the topic My Favourite Animal to prepare a short 5 minute talk to the rest of the class. The children should find out information about their animal such as; where in the world it lives, where it sleeps, what it eats, what their babies are called, what noises it makes and how it gets around. They should also consider why this is their favourite animal.
Children should practise their talk at home in order to be able to fluently talk to the class, they can make a poster or take notes to help them remember what they are going to share.
Talks should be ready to be heard for Monday 18th November
We used our ICT skills to do some research this week. We found out a bit about Mossgiel Farm and what happens there. Ask me at home what I discovered.
