We take time time out to read books for enjoyment, this week we were learning how this can help our mental health.

We were learning how to make fast and slow rhythms. Here we are stomping around as elephants, sometimes we were fast and sometimes we were slow. We felt the beat of our hearts before and after the exercise to see how it changed.

For the last week of your homework you can choose between the 2, 5 and 10 times table. Pick 2 tasks from the homework grid to complete. Enjoy!

We worked together to get the hoop from one end of the line to the other without letting go hands. It was tricky!

Our two Junior Road Safety Officers held a committee meeting with the rest of their class this week to discuss how they could start to get the message of road safety across to the rest of the school. Lyle and Harper listened to the committee’s thoughts and took notes. They have planned to have a school assembly and will hold their first competition in Term 2! Well done, great work!

This week we tried to save Incy Wincy Spider from getting wet. The children thought about the different types of materials we had, they chose him a jacket to keep him dry and then carried out experiments to see if they were right.

We discovered that the materials with holes in them made him wet but the material that had no holes was waterproof.

P3 were learning how to add in chunks.

First they learned about empty number lines and how to use them, then they went on to use these to add up in friendly numbers. This means they can solve addition calculations using larger numbers.
