Mother’s Day 2025

P3 got creative this week as we look forward to celebrating our Mother’s Day on Sunday. We had a vote to select a card design and ended up choosing a really cool sliding design.

We loved the sliding design and really liked adding our ‘hidden’ messages.

Here are some other snaps taken this week, including during tennis and numeracy.

This week we took part in our final lesson in ‘printmaking’.

We have enjoyed exploring the different techniques that can be used in the printing process and have been developing our skills throughout.

We used different shapes to create a mosaic before using paint to make a mono-print of our design.

Check out some snaps from this week’s activity.

Probability Jars

P3 are learning about probability, chance and uncertainty. We are using terms such as likely, unlikely, impossible and certain to describe the likelihood of something happening.

Check out some of our ‘Chance Jars’ we made to practise in pairs!

Felix the Firefly

Alfie introduced P3 to Felix. He told us all about how it is Felix’s job to give feedback on work around the school. Felix uses the ‘Tickled Pink’ and ‘Green for Growth’ strategy.

You will be hearing more about Felix and his feedback, soon!

This week in P3

In P.E, we have been working on ‘Tennis skills’.

As part of our session this week, we took part in a paired challenge to test and improve the reaction time of our partner.

We started with our hands behind our back. We would then bring one hand to the front, placing it high or low. Our partner had to react as quickly as they could and give us a high five.

This drill sounded so easy, however, it was actually pretty tricky to react quickly! We are going to try this out again next week and see if we can keep improving our reaction times.

We then continued our session with a game of ‘Floor Tennis’. Check out some pictures of us in action!
