Last Week of Term

Primary 2/3 have had a fun filled week of Christmas activities to finish term 2!

We had great fun at our Christmas parties with lots of dancing and party games.

The Primary 2’s were very lucky to get a special visit from Santa!!!

Yesterday the whole school went on a trip to the cinema in Ayr to see the film ‘Lyle, Lyle Crocodile’. The film was great and we had lots of fun singing along. It was a lovely morning and a great end of term treat!

I hope you all have a fantastic Christmas and Happy New Year!

Weekly Round-Up

What an extremely busy week we have had in Primary 2/3!

The boys and girls have been working so hard and did an absolutely amazing job of performing their ‘Christmas Cracker’ at the school show this week. You should all be very proud of yourselves!

This week we have also been learning to double numbers in numeracy.

We have been learning the ‘oa’ sound and finishing our stories in literacy. We have also been learning about ‘The Christmas Story’, the sense of touch and lots more!

We finished the week off with Christmas jumper day and a lovely Christmas lunch.

Next week we will be having a fun filled week of Christmas activities. Only 5 more school days to go!

School Show

The children in P2/3 will be performing their “Christmas Cracker” at the break of the school show ‘Panto Pandemonium’ on Wednesday and Thursday night this week.

Pupils should come to school on both evenings at 6.10pm wearing a Christmas jumper, hairband or hat if they have one. If they do not have something Christmassy to wear pupils should just come dressed in casual clothes.

Thanks for your support.

Pupils have been given a ‘Christmas elves’ challenge this week which has been added to their numeracy scrapbook and involves problem solving. Please click on the link below to view the activity:

Pupils can complete the activity in any way they want. They may find it easiest to draw the suits to find out how many different combinations there are.

Numeracy scrapbooks should be returned by Friday 23rd December.

Thanks for your continued support.

Have fun!

We have been learning all about sight and the parts of the eye as part of our ‘Senses’ topic this term.

We have also been busy doing some junk modelling and painting props for our school show.

Mrs McKenna brought in some cakes for us to enjoy on Wednesday as it was her birthday!

Have a great weekend everyone!
