Work gets underway on the new Outdoor Learning Area

Today, with an enormous amount of help from Coltart Contracts and some generous donations from the Cobble Shop, work began on developing an exciting area for Outdoor Learning for our young learners. Already we have a completed sandpit and a fabulous mud kitchen which was built by our janitor, Mr Risk.

We still have lots of jobs to finish and are still looking for some more materials to complete the project. We’ll let everyone know as soon as possible and if anyone can offer any help we’d be really grateful.

We can’t wait to show our little people and we hope they will be as excited as we are (even if we didn’t manage to include ALL of their fabulous ideas – though we did like the sound of the puppy pit!)

Play Based Learning Training

Miss Courtney and Mrs Steel are already missing our little learners but we are looking forward to our day of learning with Anna Ephgrave. Today we will be learning about better ways to plan for play and ensure that we are getting as much value as we can from play in our Primary One classes. We can’t wait to get started!

Snow Day!

We had an amazing time out in the playground enjoying the lovely snow!

We practised our new sound – ‘h’, wrote our names and even got to hit Mrs Steel and Miss Courtney with snowballs!

And we would like to say a massive happy 5th birthday to Evie-May! 🙂
