If you have not done so already, please sign & return letters about our Teddy Bears Picnic as soon as possible. We are going on Wednesday afternoon, so if you can hand letters back tomorrow (Thursday), that would be great, since we are off on Friday and Monday.
We hope you can all come with us and spend an afternoon in the park and doing some fun activities! 🙂
We had fun out at the loose parts area collecting natural items for our frogspawn habitat. We found some rainwater and a few rocks. We can’t wait to see them grow into tadpoles and then frogs! Ribbit ribbit!
Primary 1 would like to say a massive thank you to the boys & girls in Primary 2 for showing us your incredible toys and games that you designed! We had a great time playing with your inventions and it inspired some of us to make some of our own toys to play with!
Primary One have been taking part in a variety of activities to develop their addition skills. Today was one of our favourites as we got to hop like bunnies on a carrot number line.
We have been talking about strategies we can use for adding two number together like:
counting on
counting them all
using our knowledge of number bonds
estimating and checking
Why not ask us about what we have been learning? – well be ‘hoppy’ to share it with you!
Primary One have been loving visiting the library to choose new books to bring home and share with our families.
We have been learning to talk about why we chose a book, predict what we think might happen in the book, and recommend books to our friends that we think might like them.
Primary One visit the library (almost) every Friday. Books should be returned on a Friday to be swapped for a new one. We hope you enjoy sharing a story together!
Tomorrow (Friday 22nd February), we will all be celebrating our differences and choosing respect by wearing bright and colourful clothes! We are doing this to show that we are all ‘unique’ (just like Elmer!) and to celebrate our differences and respect each other! 🙂
