We have been working hard learning all about the ocean and ocean animals as part of our book studies.
We started reading The Rainbow Fish a couple of weeks ago and are now working on Commotion in the Ocean. We are exploring non fiction writing as part of this and are working on creating a leaflet all about the ocean at our free writing table.
We have been looking at measuring length using standard and non standard unit, and have also started exploring a wider range of 2D shapes.
We have also been busy making sharks out of paper plates which will be our craft entry for the cattle show next month. Here are some pictures of our very busy activities this week.
In our maths lessons we have continued to practise subtraction within 10 / 20. We did a scavenger hunt and made up our own sums in our maths jitters.
In P.E. We are continuing to improve our gymnastics skills. We are now working with Primary 3/4 and we are leaning lots of new skills from our new P.E. Buddies.
