Friday 8th March

Hello everyone welcome to this week’s blog.

This week we’ve done the four farms walk for Cash for Kids. That helped us add lots of miles to our 500 miles challenge. We hope your walking is going well.

We have been learning about squared, triangular and cubed numbers. We have been using our writing skills to write a recount.

We did a podcast and had a visit from Cash for Kids. They gave us a shout out on West FM!

We also celebrated World Book Day. We wore book character costumes or pyjamas. Our class organised all the activities for the rest of the school. It went well.

Have a good weekend parents.

Friday 1st March

Hello,

We have had a exciting week. Firstly we are pleased to welcome a new pupil in our class.

We have had an author called Stuart Reid come to visit us and he talked about his books and how to write a successful story.

We also had a visit from Generation Science. We used generators to power Hex bugs. It was great fun!

In science we were investigating friction and the human body. We made paper aeroplanes to test air resistance and looked at how our lungs work. In literacy we wrote instructions to make a disgusting sandwich. We compared our work and peer marked with the other classes.

We had a great time planting fruit trees in the community.

.

Have a good weekend.
