Hi everyone,

I thought I would sneak on and write our final blog post for the year.  It has been an absolute pleasure to teach you all this year and I feel very lucky to have had you as my first ever class!

It has been a very busy last week of term. (In fact it has been a busy year!) We have had bump up day, sports day, swimming at the outdoor pool, prize giving, and the water fight!

I haven’t managed to get photos of much of it but I did get these photos of you all next to the bits of string we used to measure ourselves in the first week of P6/7.  Look how much you have all grown! (Chanel,  you weren’t here when we hid our time capsule but I’m sure you’re a lot taller than you were a year ago).

You have all grown in height, but even more importantly you’ve all grown so much in maturity, ability, and confidence. Keep being the awesome young people you are and I can’t wait to hear how you’re all doing.

Hello parent/guardian.
We have been working very hard about distance, speed and time. We ran ten metres back and forth and used a calculation to work out our speed.
We have also made a map for a story where we all make the story a bit different.
Today on Friday we have played among us maths.

This week has been health week. We have been doing lots of activities:

rugby

boxing

sports day practise

young leaders

This week has been world of work of work week,

we have had:

Ben Coward, Cathrine Johnston and Marney on Monday.

Paddy, Lauren McEwen, Kilmarnock football club and Mark on Tuesday

Cara Owens, Paul Simmons,  John and  Dougie Brown on Thursday

We were so lucky to have so many people come into our school with very interesting jobs!

On Wednesday we went to Dean Castle and Country Park for a knights and castle work shop we had a blast!

We have also been helping out with the hanging baskets for the village

At Kelburn Castle we participated in a number of fun activities consisting of:

We also visited Tincornhill Sorn quarry and did some gardening while it was sunny.

This week we have had Rookie Rockstar on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and there has been a rap battle, a mummy challenge and chunky bunnies.
On Thursday afternoon we had Sorn to be wild which is where we wrote our own music

Hello we have been learning about tessellation and finishing our shape topic and we are finishing our non-chronological reports. We have also been learning about kindness in RME.

This week we’ve had fun doing  our balloon  art for the cattle show. We have looked at 3D shapes, report writing and buoyancy. We also enjoyed testing old computer games in technology.

Hello every one we have been very busy for the past week.

We have been learning about algebra and discussion writing. We have also been inspired by Salvador Dali and made some of our own art work.

We have also been working hard preparing for and running the Easter Fair.  Thank you to everyone who came along. We hope you enjoyed it!
