Details of your homework for this week can be found below.

Literacy

In Primary 3 we have been learning about  up-levelling sentences.

For example:

Basic/Base sentence: The dragon flew down to his cave.

Up-levelled sentence: After a long flight, the tired dragon swooped down to his warm and cosy cave.

Floppy’s Phonics books will not be issued this year therefore it is important to read for enjoyment at home with your child each week where possible.  Predicting, discussing characters, their choices, the setting, the plot, etc

 

Phonics

There is a spelling list of words each week to practise with an activity sheet which has guidance below. Please complete activities in the Literacy homework jotter issued with the date marked.

Numeracy

Please complete the worksheet provided in your Maths Homework jotter and  return to school on Thursday.   Where possible, children should try to complete the answers/ calculations in their Maths Homework jotter marked with the date.

 

Our new Maths topic is money.  Choose which worksheet to complete: 1 star- developing,  2 stars- secure, 3 stars- mastery.  Complete the missing bubble of the part whole models: either the missing pounds or the missing pence or the missing total.

For some week’s now both Primary 3 classes have come together to prepare for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.  Please continue to work together with your child through the booklet.  There are some aids below to support you and your child.
