We have organised a variety of visits for the children to come to our school. Please find the details below:
Children to Visit James Hamilton Primary School & Sgoil na Coille Nuaidh
- Thursday 28th May 2026: 9:30am – 10:15am
- Wednesday 3rd June 2026: 9:30am – 10:15am
- Thursday 11th June 2026: 1:15pm – 2pm
Tour of the School
We would like to invite parents/carers and children to visit for a tour of our school. You will receive your allocated date and time on your welcome letter.
Transition Meetings with P1 Teachers
We would like to invite parents/carers only for a short transition meeting with your child’s P1 teacher. A maximum of 2 adults can attend this visit. Please arrive promptly for your allocated meeting as we have a tight schedule to enable us to meet all families. This visit will take place in your child’s Primary 1 classroom. You should enter via the school playground and come to the Primary 1 classroom door that exits into the playground. There will be clear signage on display and school staff will also be there to direct you. You will receive your allocated date and time on your welcome letter.
Parent/Carer Information Session
On Thursday 18th June 2026, we will have a parent/carer information session. This will be an opportunity for you to find out about the life of Primary 1 and to ask any further questions. This will be at 9:30am. Please enter at the main entrance to the campus and members of staff will direct you from there. Due to limited space available, we ask that only 1 adult per child attends this session.
