If you are late in the morning or running late at the end of the school day, please inform the main school office. This will allow us to let the class teacher, and your child, know and prevent any unnecessary worry.

If your child is going to be absent from school, you must phone the school on the first morning of their absence. You can then let the office staff know how long you anticipate your child will not attend school. If you do not, a member of our office staff will contact you or your emergency contacts by phone each day of the absence.

Travelling to School

Children can walk, scoot or cycle to school and we have a bicycle shed and scooter rack. Children must bring a chain to lock their bike or scooter up when they are in class.

When crossing the road remember to:

School Uniform

Our school uniform is very smart. We ask that parents/carers put their child’s name on all of their school clothes.

PE Kit

On your child’s PE days, they can come to school dressed in their trainers, school jumper/polo shirt and joggers/shorts/leggings. They should not wear any jewellery on PE days so it would be best to remove piercings at home prior to coming to school. No football strips are allowed as part of the PE kit.

Where possible, our PE lessons will take place outdoors.  Therefore, please make sure that your child has suitable outdoor clothing for our Scottish weather.

Water

In school, you are allowed to drink plan water when you get thirsty. Juice and flavoured water must be kept until lunchtime. Please put your child’s name on their water bottle.

Snack

At break time, children can bring 1 small snack and it should come to school in their school bag, not in their lunch box as it will be safely tucked away until 12:15pm!

Lunch Time

For lunch, children can have the choice of having a school lunch, bringing their own packed lunch or going home for lunch.

School lunches are free for all children in Primaries 1 – 5. Click the link below to view the latest school lunch menus.
