Art Outside

Today Ayrbank took part in Art Outside tasks during our second Outdoor Learning Morning.

We started our morning by using crayons and paper to investigate textures outside by making rubbings.

Unfortunately the rain made our paper a bit soggy so we had to come inside for a little while where we decided to create ‘winter landscape’ artwork.

When the rain passed, we made it back outside to create a realistic line drawing of our environment. We then finished these with a rubbing background. This artwork will be used to create a whole school display of ‘Our School through the Seasons’.

Ayrbank worked so hard today and I’m sure you’ll agree that their artwork is fantastic! Well done Ayrbank!

Litter Picking

Today Whiteflat were involved in litter picking around our local community.

We started off the morning by making some posters to put up around the village to encourage people to put their rubbish in the bin.

After break time we went for a walk to the top shop where we put some of our posters up on display and collected lots of bags of rubbish.

We then walked to the woods down from the Games Hall where we  picked up a lot more rubbish. We found lots of interesting items including a helmet and a BBQ!

Well done Whiteflat, you have done a great job of tidying up Catrine and making it look a bit cleaner.
