Today Ayrbank joined members of the Catrine Community Action Plan Group to clean up Catrine. The pupils spent the morning making posters to encourage people to put their litter in the bin and then headed out after break time armed with their litter pickers. We were joined by Tam McKinnon and some volunteers who came along to give us a hand.
Thank you to Tam for providing all of the equipment for our litter pick, we managed to collect lots of rubbish and make Catrine a bit cleaner.
Well done everyone!
Today it was Marneil’s turn to carry out some litter picking around our local community.
We made some posters this morning to try and encourage people to put their rubbish in the bin and to take care of the environment.
After break time we went for a walk around the village and worked as a team to pick up any litter that we could see. We were really happy to find that there wasn’t too much rubbish today.
Ashton put up the poster that he made at the Games Hall. We hope that it will encourage people to put their litter in the bin, rather than dropping it on the ground.
Well done Marneil, you did a great job today!
Today Whiteflat were involved in litter picking around our local community.
We started off the morning by making some posters to put up around the village to encourage people to put their rubbish in the bin.
After break time we went for a walk to the top shop where we put some of our posters up on display and collected lots of bags of rubbish.
We then walked to the woods down from the Games Hall where we picked up a lot more rubbish. We found lots of interesting items including a helmet and a BBQ!
Well done Whiteflat, you have done a great job of tidying up Catrine and making it look a bit cleaner.
