This week we are  very proud of our pupils who have achieved awards out of school.

Blair from P3C joined Dean Thistle football club in April and loves it. Since then he has received 3 Gold Awards for different things such as scoring goals and displaying good team work.

Lewis from P4M recently had a taekwondo grading and he passed. He is now a yellow belt. He is also in Beavers and he will be moving up to the Cubs after the October holidays. Lewis has also become a Lodge Leader.

Emily from P6A has been doing gymnastics for a couple of years now and loves it. She has moved up a few levels since joining and is always doing hand stands and head stands in the house to practise.

She is also a member of The Little Art School. She recently got moved up to intermediate level and one of her paintings from last session was displayed on the club’s Facebook page. It demonstrated how well she used the watercolours in the painting. She has so many paintings there isn’t enough room to hang them all.

Sophia from P7M achieved her Bikeability Award . Well done

Ella from P2E has achieved her Level 1, Little Tiger Cubs orange stripe at Taekwondo.

Andrew P7A led the church in prayer at Harvest Service on Sunday for the first time. He had volunteered himself and practised all week at home and in the church itself and had lots of well done afterwards.

Georgie from P7A started ballet classes aged 3.  Since then, she has progressed through the world renowned RAD ballet syllabus.  During this progress, Georgie has worked very hard and shown determination to strengthen her core, legs and feet resulting in her now gaining her first pair of pointe shoes. A huge achievement in ballet.

Hazel from P6A achieved her 2nd kyu grade (brown and white belt) in karate on Saturday. On Sunday she competed,  and although she didn’t win any medals this time, she was competing up a level and performed very well against very tough and experienced competitors and managed to beat a very experienced black belt who has achieved success in European competitions.

Gracie from P1S started gymnastics in June and has received 2 awards – Super Stretcher and Gym Star.  She has been practising lots and showing off her new skills to her family.
