Exploring tools!

The Pm children have been so busy exploring with real hammers, nails and materials this week!. We have been  talking about and investigating all about construction, we will be exploring it further next week!           🔨🧱🔩🧰🦺👷‍♀️

We have been learning how to hold tools appropriately and developing an understanding of the importance of personal safety.

The Wee Rid Motor – Robert Burns

With Burns day fast approaching on 25th January we will be listening to some Scottish music and Poems over the next few weeks within the ECC.   We have chosen a well known Scottish poem The Wee Rid Motor 🚘 that you can help your child to learn at home if they wish.

You can send us a wee short video of them reciting the poem and as part of our Burns Day Celebrations the children that wish to will have an opportunity to recite the poem for their friends within the ECC.

AM group

The morning group have also been celebrating St Andrews day and starting our Christmas preparations.
On Tuesday we made our own tartan pictures using strips of coloured paper and participated in some highland dancing.💃
We have been developing skills using scissors when cutting out toy pictures for our Santa letters, following and completing the pattern on the promethean board and making our special Christmas cards.

We were so excited to construct the Christmas tree, selecting our decorations and placing them carefully on the branches! 🌲 🌟

We had fun with the Christmas photo frame, doing our best pose for the camera! 😃 📸

We helped make decorations for our local residents to help spread the joy of Christmas! 🎅🏻
What a busy exciting week! 😀
