Monday, 6th October
Good morning everyone, please email any pictures of your child reading, either on their own, with a family member or a friend. Please feel free to email anything to me:
aynsley.sawyers@eastayrshire.org.uk
Sincere apologies everyone, I had a typo in my email address so if anyone has tried emailing me and not had a reply, this is the reason. Above is the correct address now.
Please continue to use the song below to reinforce the difference between letter names and sounds.
Alphabet Phonics Song – YouTube – Epic phonics
“Walk the Walls” our classroom phoneme song. This will be updated as new phonemes are taught. .
sh, th, ng, ch, wh, ph, ee, oo, ck, ai, oi, oa, ea, ‘y’ (as in ay)
Please continue to support our love of reading! This week, Emily can bring in her favourite book to share with the class. Thank you for your lovely story, Ruby, we all loved the kind story of Octopus Shocktopus!
I’m so grateful to the children who have already contributed to our exciting “Follow the Nether brick road” journey. This is a massive contribution towards our Gold Reading Schools Award. The children are really excited when they see another brick on the road.. Please continue to support/contribute to this by sending in any quotes/photos etc. that I can add to our display. We have already read so many stories together and would love to extend it further by sharing stories from home. I’ll look forward to hearing from you all.
- Kindest regards,
Aynsley

Instead, could everyone please complete the yellow brick that is in your child’s jotter, this is a big part of our Nether Brick Road. It can be a book they are listening to, one someone at home is reading to them or one they are reading alone. Centre Code for access – 151765 |
