Good Afternoon, as this week brings our final week in P1  Can all children please bring in a plastic bag from Tuesday 23rd June, and each day after this.  I plan to send things home each day so the children don’t have too much to carry on Friday.

Reminder school closes at 1pm Friday 26th June.

 

P1B imagined and planned their own story to create a Stop Motion movie. They displayed their school values of responsibility and determination, by thinking carefully about their characters and taking their time one frame at a time.

 

P1B had an amazing time on our school trip! I was a very proud teacher, as each and every one of the children displayed our school values and outstanding listening skills!

As part of writing and digital literacy, P1B have created their own imaginative story and will use Stop-Motion to create this.

All children chose their own characters, some have chosen ones from school, if they have chosen their own personal characters (toys) can children please bring these in on Tuesday, they may need to stay in class for a couple of days after this due to school trips etc.

P1B and P1R took their role very seriously last week when learning how to look after a baby. They were able to discuss and learn about what and how babies are fed, how to change nappy and how to hold a baby safely. They were able to role play everything they had learned in the home corner and learn from each others own experience with babies in their families.

Well done P1!

P1B had the best time exploring stop-motion. We worked in groups to explore the concept of stop-motion and made out own mini clip.

Developing our teambuilding skills and motor control to ensure each scene moved smoothly to the next.

At assembly this morning, the JRSO Team announced a competition.

P1B have been learning about data. We have discussed how to gather data, the different ways to sort it and how to present the data on a pictogram.

We have worked together as a class and individually.

We had an amazing time going outdoors to collect items to sort and present on out natural pictogram.

 

P1B have had a busy term.

We have loved learning about plants, having the best time on our school trip!

We have been Marvellous Mathematicians learning about addition and money!
