We’ve had a great time during STEM fortnight with lots of practical experiments, predictions, observations and recording of results.
We’re looking forward to sharing our learning next week.

A fantastic effort from Kristian creating his own design for a name tag. Many thanks to Mr Mason for helping too 😃

Tommy has been sharing his books and magazines from home with his class. What an amazing way to encourage others to read and enjoy books!

P6 enjoyed working with clay this afternoon to make models of Burns cottage.
We’ll paint these next week once they are dry… more pics to follow!’

We were very lucky this week to enjoy TWO first chapters.
Mrs Butler was our MYSTERY reader! We loved hearing the first chapter of Maze Runner by James Dashner. We had lots of questions after reading.
Eva also shared the first chapter from a book she enjoys. Five Children on the Western Front. This book created a lot of discussion around ‘prologues’ and ‘epilogues’ .
Thank you so much for sharing your time and talent!

What a busy week its been! We are super proud of the performances for our Christmas Concert this year and we had a great time celebrating during our class party!
Please click on the purple names of the songs (which are links) to learn the lyrics of these songs for our Christmas concert. We will rehearse in class but the French and German need some extra practice.
The children enjoyed reading and discussing an extract from Dragon Mountain by Katie and Kevin Tsang. We translated some Mandarin, made some chicken noodle soup and tried some vegetable spring rolls.
We created travel brochures for China and tested our skill with a game using chopsticks!
Well done P6!
