We had such a lovely day in P3 today! We did some body percussion to Christmas music and then in the afternoon we had our Christmas party!

This week we have been exploring symmetry, using mirrors to establish if a shape is symmetrical or asymmetrical. We have also been making salt dough Christmas ornaments.

Primary 3 have been busy learning all about time, including how to read quarter past and quarter to on both digital and analogue clocks. The children practised telling time through fun activities and worked together to solve time challenges. They also created beautiful season tress.

We have had a very busy week in P3KG. We have been exploring the book “Yoko” by Rosemary Wells which focuses on a Japanese main character. We then spent the week learning more about Japanese culture, writing reports about it, comparing Japan to Scotland, even doing some cherry blossom painting and trying out some origami! Plus we even managed to squeeze in a visit to the library. 📚

For Anti-Bullying Week Primary 3 have been learning about The Power for Good!
They talked about how even small acts of kindness can make someone’s day brighter. 💛
What a busy week! We have been learning about 2 digit and 3 digit addition and developing our ability to find information in reading books to answer questions. We have also started to learn about food chains in the rainforest and terms such as: producer, consumer, predator and prey.

Happy Halloween from P3KG!

After reading ‘The Halloween Hustle’ and exploring rhyming words. Primary 3 had a go at making their own spooky skeletons 💀

So far this week, we have been very busy making colourful parrots by tracing around our hands to make the feathers. We also have been exploring number bonds and fact families.
