CELEBRATING SUCCESS – P5 WIDER ACHIEVEMENTS

Your child’s wider achievements tab is now active on their blog page for them to add some new information about the things which they have been doing out of school.  It is great to share this success with everyone in class.

Our targets for this coming fortnight 15.11.21 to 26.11.21 are connected to this being Road Safety Week and Anti-bullying week.

We discussed the targets and felt that we would be able to focus on 3 during these focus weeks.  Our targets are:

  • ¨ Demonstrate how to cross the road safely using the  Green   Cross Code. (B2.2)
  • ¨ Be kind to someone who is hurt or upset. (B3.2)
  • ¨ Support peers within the class who may be finding activities       challenging or need help with something. (B3.3)

At New Cumnock PS we like to share our successes in learning and positive attitudes.  This includes the wider achievements which are over and above our day to day learning in class.  These are celebrated across the school and from home.  Each year group has their own Bronze, Silver, Gold tracker to work on to help achieve and celebrate success.

In P5, we will agree on two targets to work towards every fortnight.   Children will be given opportunities within class and around the school to make progress on their tracker but we also invite parents to look out for your child achieving these targets at home.  Please email any evidence of your child working on a target – even if it’s not the fortnightly targets as this will help your child to reach their goals.  This can be in the form of a picture, or a piece of the work that the child has been involved in.
