Today p7 was doing a task map about a book called road to freedom on Bug Club. It is about two slaves their names are Emma and Mama. They are running away.
Primary 4 have been working hard!

In the dyslexia friendly school pupil leadership group they have been working very hard recently.
They have been making Posters about the coats boxes and they are turning out to be very nice.
We meet once a week on a Tuesday for training, 3.00-4.00.
In NPS Mrs Macavoy and Miss Clapperton has set up a choir for 6 and 7’s. In the choir we were performing down the street in the Square on the 30th of November 2018 for Christmas, on that day 2 girls a solo part on that day. So far we are really enjoying the choir and hopefully it lasts until 2019. year we will be focusing more on Scottish songs for Burns Day and hopefully more for Easter time. We also performed at the Cumnock Hospital and also the school Christmas service. We really enjoyed the fist year of the choir and we’re looking forward to visiting more places and singing more songs.
We have been learning about fraction’s/equivalent fraction’s and we have been playing math games.
Our groups are called moon sun and planets we have been doing Scottish poems and rugby at the new pitches at brownfield and we have
been drawing our inventions and decorating them here is some of the invention’s.
The Eco Leadership group have been learning about completing the Environment Review in groups for our action plan.
They have been researching and designing a new school eco code.
In jump into movement we were doing circuit training and working on our hand eye coordination, core muscles, body strength.
This was our celebration event last year.
The rights respecting school have said to be looking at some of the rights of a child like for example a child has a right to a education .We have asked for more information and they said they have been taking the information from a page of the rights to plan their very own rights charter . They have also been talking about the rights and explaining the rights of a child.
Today the rights respecting group has been choosing the class champion to go around gathering information, each group were given the choice of which class they would like to be champions of.
This week the rights respecting schools have been creating the schools rights charter when they are finished they will be hanging it up in the corridors to hopefully remind people the rights of a child.
