Monday 18th May- Daily Tasks

Good morning P4. I hope you all had a lovely weekend are were able to switch off and relax. I know some of you are finding it difficult being away from friends and family but we are here if there is anything we can do to help and please let us know how we can make things easier for you. The most important thing is that you feel happy and safe. Mrs Green and I are setting lots of different assignments for you but please don’t feel worried or anxious if you are not able to complete them all. Some of them are optional- we are just trying to make sure you have tasks available to keep you occupied if you need them. Remember mum and dad can get in touch with Mrs Green and myself through our emails if they want to have a chat about anything.

This morning your assignments will go live at 10am and I will be on here between 11-12pm and 2-3pm to answer any questions you have regarding work or if you just need a chat. They do not need to be completed until Wednesday giving you a few days to complete. Tuesday and Wednesday’s assignments will go live at 10am tomorrow, just as we did last week.

*Feel free to complete the daily Joe Wick’s programme or the one Mr Smith put on the Blog.

*Can I please remind you that if you do upload your work on your e-portfolio that you let me know through the post on Teams**Can I please remind you that if you do upload your work on your e-portfolio that you let me know through the post on Teams*

Numeracy 18th May

Snap Game – Use card/paper to make your own times table snap game. Have one card for the answer e.g. 25 and one card with the sum e.g. 5×5. You can mix as many times tables as you want and make as many cards as you want. Try and keep the cards the same size and make sure they match up with another card.

  1. Pass out the cards to the players and make sure they are all mixed up.
  2. First player puts down their card e.g. 25 and the person that has the matching multiplication (5×5) would put theirs on top.  The same if one person puts down the multiplication card e.g. 4×6 the person with the matching answer (24) would put theirs on top.
  3. The winner is the first person to get rid of all their cards

Each week I will upload a weekly challenge calendar to celebrate specific days of the year with suggested fun activities to do to celebrate that day.  Don’t feel like you have to take part every single day, just do what you can.  If you have a different idea to the one suggested feel free to be as creative as you can.  You can share on Teams if you like but you don’t have to.  Have fun!

If you complete the challenge today (Monday 18th May) please press ‘hand-in’ so I know you have completed it.  It would be nice to see pictures of what you chosen or even made.
