Our last day of gymnastics 🤸 More equipment and more fun 🤩  We have some real wee monkeys in the class! 🐒

We completed 7 tasks in teams using our previous learning about deforestation to complete the Escape Room.  Some of the tasks were easier to solve than others.

We have been learning how to measure in standard units (metres and centimetres) using metre sticks with Mrs Morrison. We understood that accurate measuring is needed to ensure that an item is the correct size.📏

We then created a metre long fish in bright colours. 🐠

As part of World Book Day we completed some book activities dressed in our pjs.  We had to work out the book titles that were written in only emojis 😁

Over the last few weeks we have been developing our gymnastics skills 🤸 We are practising different ways of travelling, balancing and jumping. Here are just a few of our moves.

We are on our second week of Strings with Mrs Todd and this week we were actually using the bow to play some notes on the violins 🎻 , violas and cellos.  Mrs Todd said we did very well for our first try! 👏🏻

We are working on Data Handling 📊.  We created and completed our own surveys.

This week we were working on possible, impossible and certain as well as likely and unlikely.  We also learned how to draw a dog to illustrate ‘If ah cuid hae a dug…’ for our Scots poem display.  Here are oor affy guid dugs 🐶

Primary 4 are learning all about the human body. They worked in teams to build a life sized skeleton ensuring the bones were placed and named correctly 🩻

Elfie and Stitch have been up to some adventures in our class this month. They even brought Sven to visit but as you can see, he helped them get into more mischief!
Today we also did some Christmas activities.

We wrote about how our snowmen had melted. ⛄️   Then we made these super melted snowmen decorations.

We played games using the force of magnetism in science this week with Mrs Morrison.  🧲

Previously we had learned about Remembrance Day and the importance and symbols of it.  Later we learned about the artist Georgia O’Keeffe and used her style of art to create our own versions of poppies using chalk pastels.  They are absolutely amazing 🤩  Don’t you agree?!

Primary 4 are investigating the force of magnets in science this term with Mrs Morrison.  They went on a magnetism hunt around school testing a variety of materials. 🧲

Our starter activity in the mornings were these challenges.  Some were a LOT easier than others but we had great fun trying them! 😅
