TRICKY WORDS…
- Practise your TW at home. They are at the back of your homework jotter. Ask for a Check-Up when you are confident in spelling them correctly. Aim to have a Check-Up at least once a week but preferably more.
All children now have a reading book. Please see the marker for pages to be read and sign when done. Books should be brought to school EVERY day as they are needed in class too.
- Some children also have word/sound walls too. These should also be practised nightly.
Talk Time Homework T1 Homework Task 3 This week we will be writing… a recount of the visit to Dumfries House
Please talk with your child about the visit to Dumfries House. They should think of question words WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHY, WHEN, HOW and be able to recount to you, in a logical sequence, the events of the visit. They should think about answering these questions:
- Why did we visit?
- How did we get there?
- What did we do when we got there?
- What activities did we take part in?
- Who led the groups?
- What did we learn?
- What is my opinion of the visit? Writing day is FRIDAY.
