Be Safe Be Seen

‘Wear It Bright’ Day

Friday 22nd Nov

Take  a look at the clip below and create a poster to remind people why they should wear it bright!

Talk Time Homework       Be Bright Be SeenTeen Homework Help | Pelham Public Library

This week we will be writing an ACROSTIC poem to remind people of the importance of wearing bright/reflective clothing when out and about at night.

Think about suitable words to use for the title of your poem.               For example…                                                                                                                        Be Bright, Be Seen

Wear It Bright

Bright At Night

Now think of appropriate sentences or phrases you could use to remind people of HOW and WHY they should wear BRIGHT colours when out in the dark.                                                                                       Remember each of your phrases/sentences need to start with the letters in your title.  Try to use lots of good ADJECTIVES,  ADVERBS or even SIMILES.

This week we will be writing …

a RECOUNT of our visit to Dumfries House

Please talk with your child about the visit to Dumfries House.

They should think of question words WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHY, WHEN, HOW and be able to recount to you, in a logical sequence, the events of the visit.

They could also think about answering these questions: Why did we visit? How did we get there? What did we do when we got there? What activities did we take part in?  Who led the groups? What did we learn?

Have a look at our pictures in the Up, Up and Away sway in Our Class Blog post as a wee reminder.
