Homework – Poems & Active Literacy
Poem – ‘A Dug, A Dug’ by Billy Keys
Before the holiday, each child was given a copy of the poem ‘A Dug, A Dug’ by Billy Keys. I have also attached a digital copy above for you to use at home. If your child would prefer another paper copy, please let me know.
At home, please take some time to read and discuss the poem together. Encourage your child to practise saying it aloud, focusing on expression and enjoyment.
Active Literacy
This week we have started working on the C sound.
Attached here is our words (Page 3, column 2): EA Literacy Stage 3 Phoneme word lists
For homework, each child should:
• Practise the C sound using rainbow writing or pyramid writing in their homework jotter.
• Write two silly sentences using C words of their choice.
Children can choose how much to challenge themselves by deciding how many C words to include in their sentences.
Thank you for your continued support at home 🙂
