Outdoors this week we have been exploring bugs further and have enjoyed using investigative equipment to look closely at insects in our garden. Children developed their ICT skills through use of the iPad to further investigate and research facts and information relevant to our findings ๐Ÿœย ๐Ÿ›ย Some children expressed their creativity through designing and creating ย their own bug houses using various construction materials and loose part resources ย ๐Ÿก

We also visited the gym for the first time this week ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธย As some children have never been to gym,ย we discussed the importance of keeping safe as well as the gym routine and expectations. We then enjoyed a warm up activity before taking part in some rings games incorporating turn taking and peer support before a cool down of some stretches. Our gym session will be every Tuesday if you can please provide gym shoes in your childโ€™s bag ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

This week we have continued to settle back into nursery and build on our routine. Working on building relationships with our peers and staff. The children are enjoying the exploration of different areas in the ECC and developing many skills through play.

We are at the beginning of our focus in the ECC, with upcoming learning looking at minibeasts outdoors and dinosaurs indoors. The children have expressed interest in these two ideas within the ECC.

๐Ÿ•ท๐Ÿ•ธ Rhyme of the month ๐Ÿ•ธ๐Ÿ•ท

๐Ÿ•ทSince the children have been showing an interest in mini beasts in the ECC garden so our rhyme of the month for September is Incy Wincy Spider.

๐Ÿ•ทWe will be learning the rhyme in the ECC. Please support your child to practice at home.๐Ÿ•ท๐Ÿ•ธ

If your child would like to make a spider, or a web or anything from the rhyme weโ€™d love to see. You can bring in a picture or a model or upload to your childโ€™s learning journal and we can share their learning with their friends in the ECC.
