Indoors this week the children began exploring families. Recognising different types of families and different people within a family. They began looking at the concept of looking after a baby – bathing them, changing and feeding. The children also displayed great turn taking and sharing skills with the different baby resources. The children explored the small world space by creating their own houses. The children listened to stories surrounding families and shared their own experiences.

This week outdoors we learned about WORLD CUP CUPPY. This was a game John McGinn played as a young boy and we all know he is representing Scotland in the World Cup.
Almost everyone took part learning the rules. They chose a flag displayed on the fence and we learned about the winning teams music and culture using the iPad and music speaker.
This was so popular but allowed children to build on competitive games, supporting others and learning a little bit about World Cup countries.
Some children continued to explore bugs and planting.

Huge thank you to the parent council for hosting a world cup fun day today, everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.

All children enjoyed getting into the football spirit with dancing and singing throughout the day. They even enjoyed a world cup themed lunch too.

All children created their own Scotland themed empire biscuit today to enjoy as a social situation at snack.
