This week in the ECC the children have been using their imagination to role play in the salon. Their role play has extended into construction, building castles and acting out the role of a king, queen and princess etc.
Some children noted the change in their weather this week and the temperature drop. We added snow and snow animals into the small world area.

As part of rhyme time the children recited a variety of different nursery rhymes and completed rhyme games on the promethean board.

Our health and well-being champion explored the story of “Oh Lila” with the children in the ECC this week. Oh Lila is a learning resource which aims to help children develop social skills and understand that asking for help is a positive behaviour. The story expresses the importance of asking for help if you feel worried, scared or have a problem. We discussed dangers we may come across and how to keep safe. We briefly discussed the emergency services and their roles and you were able to tell us that you call 999 if you need help in an emergency situation.

At snack this week we have been focusing on where fruit comes from, how fruit grows and the seeds from different fruits.
