Logan Primary P1/2 – Mrs Robertson

WELCOME TO PRIMARY 1/2

🌟 Welcome to Primary 1/2! 🌟

Dear Parents and Carers,

A very warm welcome back to Primary 1/2! I hope you all have had a lovely summer and are looking forward to an exciting year ahead. The children are so eager to learn, have fun and enjoy new experiences and are already becoming familiar with the new routines! 😊

I’ve put some information below to help us work together to build a positive classroom community! 🌈:

🌟 Our Class Charter & School Values

As the new school year begins, we have be creating our class charter together and learning about our school values. We have been discussing the importance of being kind, respectful, fair and responsible, and how to work together to make our classroom a happy, safe and fair place for everyone to learn. The children are encouraged to listen to one another, make good choices, show kindness and understand that everyone has the right to learn, feel valued and be included. πŸ’›

πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ PE Days – Wednesday & Friday

For PE children should wear:

  • πŸ‘Ÿ Gym shoes/trainers
  • πŸ‘• A loose-fitting T-shirt instead of their shirt/school tie
  • 🩳 Jogging trousers or shorts
  • πŸ‘— If wearing a skirt, leggings or shorts could be worn underneath for comfort and ease of movement

πŸ‘‚ Earrings & PE

If your child has pierced ears, please provide a permission letter.

For safety during PE, earrings must either be:

  • Removed before coming to school, or
  • Covered securely so they cannot cause injury.

🍎 Healthy Breaktime Snack

Children are encouraged to bring a healthy snack for break time, there is also a selection of fruit on offer from the trolley.

Please remember to provide a water bottle each day too – nothing too big as these can be refilled from the tap throughout the day. πŸ’§

🍽️ School Lunches

It would be greatly appreciated if you could discuss the school lunch options with your child before they come to school each day. This will help your child feel confident about their choice and prevent any mix-ups at lunchtime.

πŸ‘• Labelling Clothing & Belongings

Please ensure that all items of clothing and personal belongings are clearly labelled with your child’s name. There are many items that look the same, and having names on everything helps me to quickly identify belongings and return them to the correct child.

πŸ“š Homework

Homework will be introduced and given in due course, check back here soon for more information! Your support in helping and encouraging your child with their homework would be greatly appreciated. Your involvement makes a real difference to your child’s learning and confidence. 🌟

Best wishes always,

Mrs Robertson
