Good morning, happy Monday!
Today is International Polar Bear Day, which focuses our attention on conservation efforts and learning more about the fabulous polar bear. Polar bears can reach a height of 9 ft tall. They use their large, slightly webbed front paws to paddle as they swim. As they are powerful swimmers, some polar bears swim hundreds of miles from land. However, some of these distances may actually have been covered by floating on sheets of ice! Use today to learn more about the polar bear, its environment, and how it lives.
(As an extra challenge this week, you could find our what national calendar days are celebrated on Tuesday and Wednesday!)
As well as your usual spelling homework tasks for Monday – Thursday, I’ve added a Literacy and Numeracy grid from which you can select some tasks this week.
