SLC 3 Home Learning

Pupils in SLC 3 have been very busy working from home.  They are participating in Literacy, Numeracy and Health and Wellbeing tasks.  On top of this, Miss Robertson sets them a daily challenge every day on Teams.

So far they have been challenged to make their beds, tidy their rooms and decorate some biscuits.  They are reminded to take some time away from their work to have some fun too, just like we would in school.  Here are a few photographs of some of the children busy doing their jobs.

Lucy’s in Lockdown

Lucy is like many other children in the world right now: in quarantine with her family.  Her hair is blue, but this time she knows why.

This story is designed to help children realise they’re not alone in the current conditions with Covid-19, to help them understand it’s temporary and to help them express how they are feeling.

We want to ensure that all children know it’s ‘okay, sometimes, to have a blue day.’

SLC 3 Singing Hands

We learned to sign along to ‘Jingle Bells’ using Makaton. We had great fun practising and picked it up very quickly.  Watch us perform using the link below …

SLC 3 ’12 Days of Christmas’

SLC 3 have had lots of fun over the past few weeks taking part in a variety of activities as planned for our ’12 Days of Christmas’.  We have had breakfast with Santa, been on a mystery walk and had a great party!

SLC 1b

The boys in SLC 1b became detectives for the day when they discovered that a Christmas turkey had been murdered!!

A well deserved ‘tea break’ for the detectives.

PC Arthur and PC McPike came to take evidence.

We had to take photographs for evidence.

SLC 2 Christmas fun

SLC 2 have had lots of fun on the run up to Christmas. We have been on a Christmas mystery walk, played with ‘snow’ in the tuff tray, ate breakfast with Santa and had a super party!!

Merry Christmas to everyone xx

SLC 2 Christmas Fun!!

We had a competition to see who could build the biggest igloo using marshmallows. It was very tempting not to eat them!!!

The heavy snow last week brought a great opportunity to get out on the terrace and have some fun. Here is the snowman we made.

Say cheese!! Our decorated class door gave us lots of ‘ELFIE’ opportunities!!
