SLC 3 MasterChef

During this period of home learning, the pupils have been developing their skills in the kitchen.  Miss Robertson has set challenges such as decorate biscuits on Marzipan day, bake a cake on Carrot Cake Day and make a pot of soup on homemade soup day.  Some of the children have been practising baking at the weekend too.  Click on the link to see the photographs.

Fun Friday

Get that Floating Friday Feeling!

Sometimes we feel like we are all sinking; whether it is home learning, another basket of washing or the thought of cooking again!  But, this week we are going to have fun floating, and hopefully keeping afloat.

We would love for you to create some kind of boat that can float in water.  Raid your plastics box or the cake cupboard for an empty tub.

Do you want your boat to have a flag?  To up the challenge, see how many pennies or Lego men it will hold until it does sink.  Decorate your boat to look as fancy as you like or keep it simple, it is entirely up to you.

So get designing and creating, fill the basin and let’s see what you’ve got!  The pictures below are just some simple ideas I saw online.

Please remember to send us some pictures of your wonderful creations.

Fun Friday Entries

Last week Mrs Musson brought some Fun into Friday.  She set a challenge to match household items to the initial letters of your name.

We had a few entries from all classes.  Please click the link below to see our efforts.

Friday Fun

Let’s have some Fun on a Friday!

This week we challenge you to try and find household items that match the initial letters of your name.

So, if my name was Tom.  I would sit out a

Toothbrush for T

Orange for O

Magazine for M

If you thought doing your first name was too easy, try both your names or choose some else’s name in your house.

Please send in photographs so we can see how creative you have been.

Enjoy, and have fun!

SLC 3 Home Learning

Pupils in SLC 3 have been very busy working from home.  They are participating in Literacy, Numeracy and Health and Wellbeing tasks.  On top of this, Miss Robertson sets them a daily challenge every day on Teams.

So far they have been challenged to make their beds, tidy their rooms and decorate some biscuits.  They are reminded to take some time away from their work to have some fun too, just like we would in school.  Here are a few photographs of some of the children busy doing their jobs.
