In SLC1a we had lots of fun during our Touch of Tartan celebrations. We have been enjoying learning new Scottish words through learning our Scots Poem and Song and also through taking part in a variety of literacy jobs linked to the well loved ‘Hairy Maclary’ books. On Friday we enjoyed creating our own tartan, tasting traditional Scottish foods, taking part in Scottish dancing and listening to Scottish music. Click the link below to see our photos.

Winnie the Pooh Day is held every year on the 18th January. This is because it is the birthday of A.A Milne, the creator of the Pooh Bear stories.
To honour the day, SLC3b participated in activities with a focus on Winnie the Pooh. These included stories and following a step by step instruction to draw the special bear. We even played Winnie the Pooh’s favourite game of ‘Pooh Sticks’.
