Speech and Language: Autism and Communication Difficulties Support
Please find attached an information leaflet for support appointments offered by speech and language therapy. The focus of these drop in sessions are to support families to further support thier child with autism or other communication difficulties.
Autism Awareness Day
The theme for our Autism Awareness day this year was celebrating being unique. In SLC, last Friday we enjoyed wearing our own clothes to show off our own unique style. We took part in a range of activities to communicate what makes us unique. We also took part in an art activity making our own individual jigsaw piece for a big display on our terrace. Our jigsaw pieces were all about us and things we like. Our display will focus on us all being different but we fit together in SLC. Keep checking our blog for updates of our overall display. SLC1a International Lego Day
To celebrate International Lego Day we took part in a range of activities connected to Lego. Our writing was to design and describe a Lego character. We also had Lego challenges and worked through design problems. We used Lego bricks to help us with our counting or subtraction sums. SLC1a had lots of fun and watched a little bit of the Lego Movie while we worked on our Lego models in the afternoon. To see some of our photos click the link below.
