Our rights respecting pupils of the week are;

 

SLC1a – Kerr McCurdy for being more independent.

 

SLC1b – Calon Blacklock for taking an interest in Mary’s Meals and asking questions to help him understand.

 

SLC2a – Ethan McPike for taking part in our tasting sessions and trying new foods.  Also, for trying new foods at lunchtime.

 

SLC2b – Luke Harrison for participating in new experiences at Hillside.

 

SLC3 – Jade Bourne for showing commitment and a positive attitude to her literacy work.

SLC1a – Harper Lea Climie for great participation in our healthy fruit tasting.

 

SLC1b – Sophie Lennon for helping other children by reminding them of class rules.

 

SLC2a – Caiden Russell for making good healthy food choices at lunch.

 

SLC2b – Katie Quinn for being a responsible friend.

 

SLC3 – Megan for showing a positive attitude to tasks, practising more than what she was asked.

National Eat Fruit Day

The FruitGuys founded National Fruit Day in 1998 to promote the health benefits of eating fruit as a snack.  This ties in well with this month’s Right of the Month, Article 24 : I have the right to good, quality health care, to clean water and good food.

SLC Sportsability 2022

Some of the pupils attended the Sportsability day at Kilmarnock College. We had a great day taking part in a variety of activities including boccia, table tennis, athletics, football, rugby and dancing.
