One Running Movement was established to help to create opportunities to be active and provide social interaction. We participated in their Schools Half Marathon event in which we had to walk / run 13.1 miles. We tracked every mile and have successfully completed our final mile today! We were rewarded with t-shirts and medals. Have a look at our photos.
SLC3 ‘Captain Tom 100 Challenge’ – Day 2
We have participated in another challenge. Working as a whole SLC, from Primary 1 to Primary 7, we have been challenged to plant 100 plants. Our class managed 20 this afternoon. The photographs have been updated.
SLC3 Captain Tom 100 Challenge
We completed our first 100 challenge in class this afternoon. We were to work in a trio, making 100 successful catches as we threw the ball to each other. We had great fun and made it even more exciting by having a race to 100. Click on the link to see some of our photos.
SLC’s Captain Tom 100 Challenge
We have been invited to participate in the ‘Captain Tom 100 Challenge’ to celebrate Sir Tom Moore’s amazing achievements and raise funds for Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity. This will help so many children receive specialised care from exceptional medical professionals.
All SLC pupils and staff will be set challenges based on the number 100. These will range from walking 100 steps to running 100 metres! We could try to keep quiet for 100 seconds, or count to 100.
You can join in with us at home too by setting your own ‘100 Challenge’. Choose a personal target or set one as a family – do it your way!
We would appreciate your donations to support such a worthy cause. Our fundraising page can be found on ‘Just Giving’ by following the link. Please leave some encouraging words for our young people s they embark on the challenges ahead!
Thank you, have fun!

The pupils in SLC 3 have a message for the adults at home who supported them with their learning during the most recent lockdown.
SLC3 Return To School
The pupils in SLC3 have had a great first week back in school. They have worked hard in their lessons and enjoyed spending time with their friends. The weather has been kind to us too and we have been able to get outside for playtime. Here are some of our photographs.
A Message for SLC 2 and 3
Well done to the SLC Superstars in getting through this lockdown. A big thank you to everyone – parents and carers too – for the hard work you have done.
We have made a video message for you, click the link to watch it. Can’t wait to see you all on Monday!
SLC3 Keeping Active
During this lockdown although SLC 3 have been very busy with their learning tasks and activities, they have managed to find time each day to be active. Exercise is a super way of relieving tension and stress and boosting physical and mental energy. They have had great fun during their daily walks. On rainy days they tried home workouts and were given PE lessons. Click the link to see our photographs.
