Today we participated in a range of activities to celebrate World Book Day. Some of us came to school dressed as a favourite book character and some in our pyjamas. We listened to stories and completed follow up activities. Some of us brought our own books to school to read.

As part of International Lego Day we worked together to make some super models. We made a working marble run and a mansion house.
We didn’t let the weather stop us from having a fantastic party today. As you can see from the photographs we all had a great time.

On Tuesday we all enjoyed a fun filled sports day where we took part in a range of races and games. Some classes has theirs outside in the sunshine and some classes in the gym hall. It was a fantastic day.
We each decided on a country to study and then decided what we would like to find out about that country. We presented our findings to the class. Take a look at our presentations.

We have been learning about our senses. We have participated in a range of fun activities including making ‘eye spy’ sensory bottles, instruments, feely boards, scented playdough and cup telephones. Can you tell what senses we are using in the photographs?

We have been reading The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch in class. In the story Mr Grinling tucks into a delicious lunch each day. But Mr Grinling isn’t the only one who enjoys the tasty food, so his wife has to think of a way to stop the greedy seagulls from stealing the lighthouse keeper’s lunch.
We made sandwiches and decorated biscuits to take on a picnic lunch. Thankfully the seagulls didn’t manage to steal our food.
