We have been learning about our senses. We have participated in a range of fun activities including making ‘eye spy’ sensory bottles, instruments, feely boards, scented playdough and cup telephones. Can you tell what senses we are using in the photographs?
SLC 3 Walk to School Week
We have had great fun this week taking part in Walk to School Week. Although most of us use school transport, we incorporated our Walk to School with our Daily Mile. We enjoyed ‘Crazy Hair Day’ the most. Have a look at our photographs.

SLC Rights Respecting School Award
As part of our ‘Rights Respecting School’ journey, we are working closely with RBA Supported Learning Centre to create a class charter for the children to follow from Primary 1 through to S6. Every week we will choose a pupil from each class who has demonstrated appropriate behaviours from our chosen articles.
Article 2 – Non discrimination : Everyone should feel respected at all times.
Article 12 – Right to be heard : Everyone’s thoughts, ideas and opinions should be heard
Article 19 – Right to be safe : Everyone should feel safe in SLC
Article 28 – Right to education : Everyone should be able to learn properly in school.

SLC3 Fun Friday
Ms Reid set us a fun challenge on Friday. We were to eat popcorn and / or raisins without using our hands. It was tricky but we all had a great time. Have a look at our photographs.
SLC3 Half Marathon
One Running Movement was established to help to create opportunities to be active and provide social interaction. We participated in their Schools Half Marathon event in which we had to walk / run 13.1 miles. We tracked every mile and have successfully completed our final mile today! We were rewarded with t-shirts and medals. Have a look at our photos.
SLC3 ‘Captain Tom 100 Challenge’ – Day 2
We have participated in another challenge. Working as a whole SLC, from Primary 1 to Primary 7, we have been challenged to plant 100 plants. Our class managed 20 this afternoon. The photographs have been updated.
