Our P.E. days are Tuesdays (period 4) and Fridays (period 6). Please ensure that your child has a change of suitable clothing (shorts/leggings, polo-shirt/t-shirt and trainers) and jewellery is removed.

Earrings are only permitted if they are taped over AND a letter is sent, signed and dated by the parent/carer, explaining they are aware of the risk of their child wearing earrings and will take complete responsibility if there is an accident.

Pupils will be dismissed at the PE doors/pitches on a Friday afternoon. We are encouraging everyone in Primary 7 this year to change into PE clothing. This is in preparation for secondary PE routines.

Weekly summary

W/B 27.10.25 By Lucas Lindsay –  This week the Halloween disco was on and I liked the games. I really liked the Tim Burton portraits and I really liked the lady talking about the WW2 things. I liked to hold the rifles and the Germany weapons. After the ww2 things then I went to PE and did football and it was 1 -1. I think the week was a 9.5 out of ten.

W/B 6.10.25 By Juliette Yakubova – So this week is dyslexia awareness week ,so we did some posters of a acrostic poem which our main word was dyslexia! Then today Friday we are doing more posters of the dyslexia ribbon. We did a little role play of the evacuation experience of the kids in war. We read Carrie’s War chapter 7 and we also did some addition calculations yesterday.:)

W/B 23.9.25 By Eden Bryce – This week I found out I got house captain! Today and yesterday we were using watercolours which was really fun. This week was Maths Week Scotland so yesterday our grownups came in and we showed them the board games we made to practise rounding and place value.

W/B 15.9.25 By Elliot Mitchell – This week in P7A was another good week with Mrs Adam, this week in maths we did our numeracy assessments,  we finished off and played our maths board games, we played Boddle and we finished learning about rounding and place value. This week in literacy we read Carrie’s War chapter 3, answered some inference questions about chapter 3 and worked on our metalinguistics skills and we wrote a recount about ‘a day in the life of me’, mine was about my typical Wednesday going to school, coming home and going to football training. Other things we done this week included PE outside, our first month in P7 posters, French with Miss Stobbs, and our anti-bullying program with Miss Taylor. Overall, it has been another great week in P7 and I’m very excited to see what the rest of the year has in store for us.

Santa’s little helpers are hard at work making Christmas wreaths to sell at the Christmas fayre on Friday! 🎄 🎅🏼

We loved our very interesting visit from History Alive to consolidate our learning of WW2!

Party time! 🥳 🎃 👻

We have been learning about tonal shading. Inspired by Tim Burton, we created spooky portraits.

We are learning to understand what rationing was like in WW2 by acting out the experiences of people living through it.

Eden & Isla designed a poster for Mrs Taylor to present at her special assembly. 😊

For Dyslexia Awareness Week we created acrostic poems to raise the volume for dyslexia.

We have been learning about the Blitz and the damage caused. We blended red, orange, yellow & purple to create a fiery background to a London skyline.

We learned about the Battle of Britain and the aircrafts involved. We used watercolours to paint either the RAF Supermarine Spitfire or the Hawker Hurricane.

Maths week Scotland – we have been learning about the impact maths has in the world of life and work. We have been exploring how maths is used in different jobs. We took part in a workshop from Lloyds bank & learned about the different things people used as money in the past.

We carried out activities using a stopwatch, learning about tenths and hundredths of a second. We then put the times in order.

Watching ‘life during the war’

For our topic, we are learning ‘What can we learn from life on the home front?’

So far, we have learned about the outbreak of WW2, who was involved, the home guard and ARP wardens.

We planned, designed and modelled our own air raid shelters. Thank you for sending in cardboard! Have a look at our amazing work:
