We have been learning to spell CVC words. We had to look at the jar, say the word, sound it out and blend it, then write it.
6.10.26 Literacy on the computer – Phonics and stuff – Sound blaster
Today we started using the laptops as part of our literacy learning. We had to identify the phonemes. Click the link below to play the sound blaster game.
We had to listen carefully and shoot the flying phonemes.
6.10.26 Literacy – Phoneme – d
In class this week we have been learning about the phoneme – d. We were painting and making things beginning with d.
2.10.26 PE – Football
In PE, we have been learning to control the football while standing still and moving. Today we started changing direction while controlling the ball. We also gave each other feedback on our skills.
2.10.26 French
Bonjour! This is Camembear, and he is helping us to learn French. We have been learning how to say hello, goodbye, thank you and my name is, in French.
30.9.29 Literacy
During September we have been busy participating in different activities to help us form our letters correctly.
Dumfries House Farm Trip – 29.9.26
Yesterday we went to Valentin Farm at Dumfries House to learn more about the farm animals. We got to hold a freshly laid egg, feed and stroke the pigs. We also got up close to rare breed cows and touch their growing horns.
When we were in with the chickens and ducks we looked closely at their feet to see how different they were, allowing the chickens to grip the ground and the ducks to swim.
Then we did something really fun! Can you guess what it was? We all got to milk Rosie the cow!
We go to PE on a Monday and a Friday. Please ensure your child has shorts and trainers/gym shoes that they can independently put on, in their school bag. Could all jewellery please be removed and long hair tied back. Thank you.
