The Gingerbread Man

This week we were focussing on the story The Gingerbread Man. We were busy listening to the story, role playing the story with the characters on a story mat, drawing the Gingerbread Man, counting out his buttons for Stripy’s task and reading numbers and carefully dabbing out his buttons.
Literacy – Active Literacy – Spelling 18.9.25
This week we were excited to start Active Literacy, spelling with the phonemes we have been taught. To help us learn we have to say the word, break it up ( at = a t), make it with the magnetic letters, blend it and read it then finally write it in the elkinon boxes. We tried our best and had a go!
Each week we will be spelling using these strategies.
Numeracy – 10.9.25
We are learning to count out objects within 10 and have a go with writing our numerals to 10.
Literacy – Phoneme s 10.9.25
This week we have been learning about the phoneme – s. We have been painting happy pictures in the sun. Sun begins with s. Take a look at our pictures.
We have also been making spiders with the playdoh as spider begins with s. Look at our scary spiders!!
Literacy – phonemes 5.9.25
This week we have started to learn the phonemes a and t. We have been busy learning words that start with the sounds as well as painting and drawing them. We have also had a go at writing the phonemes in different ways.
We were having a go to write a and t on the whiteboard.
