Parents Open afternoon – numeracy

 

 

It was fun reading numbers and counting with my mum!
Read the number and finger paint the correct amount of egg sin the nests.
Read the number and make that amount with the playdoh.
Let’s go down on the farm. Read the number and add the right amount of animals.
We were learning to write our numbers in the sand.
I can write the numbers in the sand with mum.
Look, I wrote number 10 in the sand. it is our first double digit number.
Can you read the number and put the correct number of animals on the framer’s trailer?
Can you read the number and feed the chicks the correct amount of food?
We are writing number 6.

We had a fun time with our parents, carers and grandparents coming in to learn more about our learning in numeracy. They participated in a Number Talks session learning the hand signals and all about subitising.

We had fun singing the counting to 20 song and then they were involved in lots of fun counting and number recognition activities in our classroom and open area.
