This term, P4S are learning all about electricity!
The pupils began their electricity topic by building simple circuits using wires, batteries, lightbulbs, and switches. They carefully connected the components to see how electricity flows and powers a bulb. As part of their investigation, they were asked to write a hypothesis about what they thought would happen if they added two bulbs to their circuit. They also had to predict the effect of adding two batteries instead of one. After testing their circuits, they compared their results with their hypotheses and discussed what they discovered.
We discovered that if you add more bulbs to the circuit, the bulbs will get duller.
We also learnt that if you add another battery to the circuit, the bulbs will get brighter.
