Please be advised that we are currently experiencing a fault with our telephone lines, we only have 2 lines working and all calls are being diverted through East Ayrshire Council Headquarters. Hopefully this problem will be rectified as soon as possible.

FIELD STUDY – S4 Geography pupils spent the week gathering data on land use, traffic and environmental quality around the school and in the town centre. The data will be processed in a number of ways and analysed to show contrasts between the two sample areas. This work will enable all pupils to achieve the AVU component of their National Qualifications.

Primary 7 pupils at Loanhead Primary School had a visit from the Kilmarnock Academy Technical Department on the 19th of May. They have been learning about units of measurement and were challenged to build the tallest tower. Well done to everyone who took part, we look forward to seeing you in August!

Have a look at our pictures from Wednesdays final cycling assignment for the 4th year personal development class on the link below.
They cycled almost 20 miles, had an eye-opening, outdoor educationally jam packed, life enhancing, confidence impacting, experience! Along the way we had several flat tyres, navigational situations, they were physically and mentally pushed, explored new areas, surveyed the lands geography, and as experienced science (especially the effect of gravity pulling down hill as you try and cycle up).
Overall it was a braw day, it was filled with sunshine, smiles a bit of sweat, and of course life impacting outdoor education.
