At Kilmarnock Academy we aim to make the transition between P7 and S1 as smooth as possible.

We have an extensive programme of P7 transition activities (see below) and have excellent long established relationships with all our feeder primaries.

We are always happy to discuss any issues with prospective P7 parents.

• Head Teacher and Depute Head Teacher visit feeder primaries with former pupils
• Head Teacher and Depute Head Teacher attend P7 Parents’ Evenings at feeder primaries
• P7 pupils visit Kilmarnock Academy to participate in quiz
• P7 pupils visit Kilmarnock Academy to participate in practical subjects
• P7 Parents’ Evening at Kilmarnock Academy
• P7 pupils visit Kilmarnock Academy to participate in Potted Sports Challenge
• P7 Induction Days – P7 pupils follow their S1 timetable (2 days)
• P7 Sports Challenge – P7 pupils participate in Sports/Activities challenge
