In line with previous years, a variety of events were arranged at Kilmarnock Academy in order to raise funds for this very deserving cause. In the week prior to the event, students and staff were invited to guess Pudsey’s birthday and the winner was Mr Cowan who correctly guess the 3rd of August. On the day, there were quizzes for each year group incorporating Catchphrase, Only Connect and Don’t Forget the Lyrics. Our thanks go to Jacqueline at the Bank Street Subway for donating the prizes.
In the afternoon, 4 of our senior pupils bravely raised sponsorship by getting their hair shaved off, whilst another put himself through the pain of a leg wax. Thanks to Lauren and Linzi at Stalkers Hair Studio for doing the cutting and Erin for the waxing.
A talented group of Music students accompanied by their teacher, Miss McKinlay travelled to Glasgow to sing in the choir at night which was shown live on television.
